CHEER REQUIREMENTS/COMPETITION DATES

WHAT TO BRING/WEAR TO CLASS

  • Upstage Training Uniform *exception of Tiny Classes ONLY

  • Cheer Shoes

  • Water Bottle (it is important to stay hydrated in classes - water bottles are available to purchase  from Reception for $1-$2)If you’re new to Upstage, & don’t have Uniform/Shoes just yet - please don’t worry! Comfortable clothing you’re free & able move in (Leggings & Singlet). Please no denim or school uniforms. Clean runners for Cheer. Students must be in Uniform/Correct Footwear after 4 weeks please or when your order has come in. See “Upstage Training Uniform”, “Uniform” & “Correct Footwear”  in booklet.

  •  We have a great, modern range of uniform items you will love! Uniform is COMPULSORY in 2017 (exception of Tiny Classes - see below) & to be worn to every class. In doing so, it helps create more team spirit amongst students, encourages students to take pride in their club, ensures safe & appropriate clothing is worn, & allows teachers/coaches to properly see & correct alignment of the body. COMPULSORY: Upstage T-shirt, Muscle Tank, Singlet or Leotard. Students may wear black/pink/teal shorts or leggings etc, with Upstage Uniform items.

  • Hair must be neatly tied back off face, so not distracting to the student. No Jewelry permitted (safety hazard). Teacher/coaches will kindly ask you to remove any inappropriate jewelry/accessories worn. Please leave home to avoid loosing or have a dedicated zip lock in your bag.

CHEER COSTUMES:

Costumes are a unique design just for Upstage, & costumes made specifically for each Upstage student. Due to this, Costume Fees are quite high. Upstage Dance & Cheer pride ourselves with our modern, striking cheer costumes with costumes often commented on when our students wear them. Limited 2nd Hand Costumes are available, see Reception ASAP. Your costume is worn for all Show-offs, Competitions & our End of Year Concert. Costumes designs are changed every 3 years to stay up to date with latest trends.
